Record labels are getting it - finally.

Via Music Week:

Record labels have to continue to experiment and push their product into new places if they want to survive in the digital era...it would look like they're starting to shake off the wallop they've taken so far in this transition and are finally figuring it out.

'Bout time. I've always argued that labels need to offer value above and beyond the actual music to combat the mp3 tsunami.

In the old days of vinyl, you needed the liner notes to get all the skinny on your favorite artists.

I used to devour them, finding out what session guys we're playing, etc. Good to see some bands are fiquring it out.
